Our History
In 2016, Eliza and Samantha began to notice the increase of rough sleepers on the streets of Sydney. So in response, Eliza and Samantha began the Homeless Christmas Drive as a little way to give back to those around them. They created 10 care packages, filled with life essentials and delivered them to those experiencing homelessness around the Sydney CBD on Christmas Eve. In 2017 and 2018 the Homeless Christmas Drive grew from 10 care packages into 25 and from just Eliza and Samantha, into a handful of incredible volunteers who walk the Sydney CBD on Christmas Eve, to help hand deliver the presents. Today the Homeless Christmas Drive is working tirelessly to fundraise to create more care packages and reach as many of people experiencing homeless in Sydney as they can throughout the year and have expanded to a Winter Drive (Christmas in July). The Homeless Christmas Drive is not yet a registered organisation but 100% of the money raised and items donated go directly into buying products for the care packages.

At the Homeless Christmas Drive, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing the increasing homelessness issue. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support. If you wish to donate any items please contact us below and we will arrange a time to come and collect your items. We have had some incredible boxes of goodies and life essentials donated throughout the years. Get in touch and we can arrange a pick or a meet up.
